Welcome to StickyDraft – the fastest way to capture your thoughts. No signup, no clutter. Just open, write, done.

Creating Notes

Click anywhere on the empty board to create a new note
Use the + button in the bottom-right corner
Right-click and select "New Draft" from the context menu

Editing Your Notes

Add a title to keep notes organized
Write freely in the content area
Use keyboard shortcuts for text formatting: Cmd+B for bold, Cmd+I for italic

Managing Notes

Drag notes around to reposition them
Resize by dragging the corner
Click the menu button (⋯) to access options
Right-click on a note for quick actions

Multiple Boards

Create separate boards/tabs for different projects
Organize your work by category or context
Switch between boards using the tab bar at the top

Customization

Choose from 6 beautiful colors for your notes
Toggle dark mode with the moon icon
Your preferences are saved automatically

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are my notes saved?

Your notes are saved locally in your browser's storage. They never leave your device and are not sent to any server. This keeps your data private and lets you work offline.

Can I export my notes?

You can copy the content of your notes and paste it elsewhere. For full export features, check back soon – we're always improving!

What if I clear my browser data?

Clearing browser data (cache, cookies) will remove your notes. To keep them safe, regularly copy important notes or back them up manually.

Can I access my notes on another device?

Currently, notes are stored locally per device. We're exploring sync options. For now, you can copy/paste your notes to share them across devices.

Is StickyDraft free?

Yes! StickyDraft is completely free to use. No ads, no subscriptions, no strings attached. We believe in simple, open tools for creative minds.

Your notes are stored in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB or localStorage). Only you can access this data. Clearing browser storage will delete your notes.

StickyDraft does not use third-party analytics, ads, or tracking services. We do not share your data with anyone.

Since data is stored locally, it's only as secure as your device. Use a strong password to protect your computer or device.
